Our Committees
Government Relations
Keeps abreast of current and pending legislation affecting the assisted living industry. Recommends legislative priorities to the Board, monitors regulatory concerns, and holds 2–3 meetings per year with frequent conference calls during session.

Advocates for the highest standards of training for AL operators and staff. Plans course content for SCALA conferences, advises the newsletter editor on educational content, and coordinates all logistics for annual conventions and events.

Plans and implements membership recruitment and retention strategies. Advocates for strong member benefits and advises the Board of Directors on issues affecting membership goals.

Advises and assists the Executive Director with newsletters and printed materials. Oversees editorial policies across all SCALA publications and manages SCALA’s social media presence.
