Job Summary
The Director of Finance is responsible for all aspects of the accounting process including financial reporting, general ledger, and the supporting subsidiary system, processes, and internal controls associated with fixed assets, billing, oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable personnel, and oversees the payroll function completed by HR Assistant.
The Director of Finance is also responsible for the timely filing of various local, State and Federal reports
Associated taxation, reimbursement, and all financial regulatory compliance. Provides oversight of Business office staff and other staff as assigned.
Essential Duties
(Functional Expertise and Leadership)• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with applicable and appropriate regulatory requirements • Issue timely monthly financial reports for use by The ManorPresident & CEO, Board of Directors, and various Department VP’s• Account for: General Ledger, General Ledger Transactions, Cash and Investments, Fixed Assets/Capital Projects. Revenue/Entrance and Fees/Amortization.• Oversee daily functions relative to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and staff• Represents Financial Services Department at various meetings and functions and participate on committees as appropriate• Provide excellent service to internal and external customers of The Manor• Direct the recruitment, of hiring, orientation, training development, evaluation, and discipline of qualified staff for Financial Service Department• Create, foster, and promote a positive working environment ensuring high morale and staff retention • Participate in annual budget preparation with the President & CEO, exercise cost control to stay within budget• 401 K biweekly reports • Worker’s Comp monthly reports • Payments of garnishments • Monthly Bank Reconciliation• Oversee petty cash account • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements• Prefer a degree in accounting but not requirement • 7 or more years in accounting, ideally in public accounting, gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to executive teams and Board Members • Ability to work in Quick Books • Competitive Salary, commensurate to experience.
