CEU Credits
Throughout the year, SCALA offers full-day 6 CEU-hour trainings, with most available from March through June, plus an annual holiday meeting each December. Live webinars are also offered ranging from 1 to 5 CEUs and count as in-person trainings.
All trainings are submitted for approval by the SC Board of Long-Term Healthcare Administrators and/or NAB — check the specific event listing for approval details.
CE Requirements & Guidelines
SC Board of Long-Term Healthcare Administrators
Full Guidelines PDFPer SC Regulation 93-200, continuing education is required for license renewal. The annual renewal and CE cycle runs from July 1 to June 30. Required hours by license type:

| Nursing Home Administrator | 20 hours | 5 hours must be in patient care |
| Dual NHA & CRCFA | 29 hours | 5 hours must be devoted to community residential care |
- No more than half of required hours may come from pre-recorded, NAB-approved online courses. Live-streamed webinars count as in-person.
- Excess hours may be carried forward into the following licensure period.
- All licensees receive a free CE Broker Basic Account. Activate at cebroker.com/sc/plans.
- Courses must fall within the NAB Domains of Practice for Long Term Care Administrators.
- First-time renewees may be eligible for pro-rated hours depending on when their license was issued — see the full guidelines PDF for details.
